I love collecting postcards, and here's another idea for displaying a handful of them. This is a quick and simple project you can create in under an hour. Check out our selection of illustrated postcards for inspiration!
Supplies: Postcards (I used 6) Thin ribbon X-acto knife Cutting Mat Pencil Scissors Ruler |
Step 2: You want the marks to line up with each other, so that your ribbon will weave through in a straight line. There will be 4 marks on the back of each postcard, so that you will have two strips of ribbon (one on each side of the cards). Center and overlap the postcards to make sure that the marks are going to line up. Using an X-acto knife and ruler, cut the lines, making small slits for the ribbon. |
Step 3: Begin feeding the ribbon through the slits. Weave the ribbon in and out between the postcards. You will have two strips of ribbon, one on each side of the cards. You might find it easier to push the ribbon through the slits if you cut the end at a diagonal, and use the tip of the X-acto to gently push it through each slit. |
Step 6: Double-knot the top ends, and then tie into a bow. Trip the ends. The wall hang is now ready to be displayed! P.S. - view our collection of postcards, or our entire collection of free project ideas & printables! |
